S. Ravivarman

Professor, EEE

Biography

Ravivarman Shanmugasundaram received both his B.E. and M.E. degrees from the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, Tamilnadu, in 2003 and 2005, respectively. He worked as academia for ten years before obtaining his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, Tamilnadu, India in 2017. He joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Vardhaman College of Engineering in May 2017.

He has been teaching courses related to power electronics, embedded systems, and electrical drives. He has authored 4 books, co-authored 1 book and published more than 30 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He is a senior member of the IEEE, Fellow of IE(I), and a reviewer for several international journals and conferences. His current research focuses on the development of power electronic converters for renewable energy systems and electric vehicles, energy harvesting and embedded systems.
